Eco-cultural destination
We advocate for the preservation of both, Camiguin local biodiversity and culture.
There is little we can do for the island if we don’t engage with its authorities and private sector properly. We believe that is the way to be more effective and to obtain a greater and more sustainable impact. We are proud to have obtained the trust of local government units of Camiguin as well as its private sector. We work in partnership with them in all our activities.
What´s the
Need
There is the need to find alternatives ways to preserve while promote Camiguin as world wide eco-cultural destination. In the process of finding these alternatives we need to embrace all local stakeholders and communities.

Response
Kilaha advocates to local authorities and private sector in order to work together in the development of new strategies, plans and policies in which the preservation local culture and local biodiversity is our first priority.
Results
Kilaha has designed a new official website for the Tourist Office of Local government (visitcamiguin.org), help to the DENR to get the nomination of Hibok-Hibok and Timpong Mountains as National Heritage Park and work as an active partner of the management board of the National Park. Kilaha is currently supporting as well the local government on documenting the cultural and historical legacy of the island, in order to make it accessible to both, locals and tourist.
